Vegan Fairy Tale: The Princess Who Liked To Be Popular

Here is an old-fashioned story with modern relevance. A beautiful square book with full colour illustrations on every page, this vegan fairy tale is about a princess who is a little too eager to please.

Princess Primrose loved to be loved so she always did her best to please everybody. Consequently, when her parents left her in charge of the kingdom for a while, she couldn’t wait to give the people everything they asked for so that they would love her even more. And they did. For a while.

Until it all went horribly wrong.

The Princess Who Liked to be Popular is a fairy tale about a naïve princess who foolishly ignores her elders; it’s about a wicked wizard with a deceptively warm smile; and it’s about Fair Trade. With information at the back about the Food Empowerment Project ( which seeks to create a more just and sustainable world by recognizing the power of one’s food choices.

“Gripping & relevant tale – great read!” CB

“Wow! What a wonderful, enlightening story! So appropriate and timely.”Shery Alexander Heinis

“I think you might need to use much smaller words so Congress can understand the story. Love it!” mzklever

“After reading part of this to my 7 year old son, I sort of summed up Primrose’s scenario: she did what made people happy or like her, not necessarily what is right. My son asked, “Is that the right way?” Interesting! I took for granted that he would know the answer. Hopefully he will begin to learn the right answer as he reads stories like yours. Thanks!”Green Chimneys Garden

“Wow, this is a very interesting story! Love the illustrations, too. It just keeps getting better.”ninjafrk77

VEGAN COMICBOOK: Beans on Toast #2

Beans on Toast #2 – the comic for 21st century kids – is finally here!

The second issue of this wonderful vegan children’s comic, just like the first one, begins with a Marvellous Mildred adventure. ‘The Perils of Percy Peardrop’ sees Mildred and the Girl Scout Twins rescuing poor little piglet, Percy, from another dastardly scheme by the Flat-Capped Menace!

Oh my goodness!

There’s also another chapter from the charming diary of a nine year old home-schooler – What me and Jude did while everyone else was at school. And of course there’s more Sherman and Geynes: pretend detectives. This time the imaginative detectives track down some rather unconventional …. no, I’ve said too much 😮

Of course, no self-respecting vegan comic is complete without a puzzle page – and this one’s got two! There’s a crossword and a wordsearch, and a fascinating fish fact file – say that ten times fast! 😉

The story of a laboratory beagle’s escape, in his own words, Let the dogs out is a powerful vegan graphic novel for readers aged 12 and up.

Please keep up the good work.. You have a gift and perhaps a calling.
Wag more and bark less.”Lucky Old Man

“What an amazing story! As a dog lover this really pulled my heart strings and I totally agree with the message – awesome work!!” Charlene Woodley

“Wow… simply magnificent.”Eva PoeteX

“What a BEAUTIFUL story! I felt so sad I could not look away for a second and just had to keep reading.” Sweet Archive Blog

Wow – talk about having your heart in your throat when reading a story. I’m so glad this guy had a happy ending!”Silver Screenings

“I have read some books on animal activism before this one, but I can say for sure, that this read, by far, is the most emotional. It is not whimsical, not written just for the sake of writing, but is based on sound evidence and facts. … Once again, the author does not fail to impress the reader with the illustrations. Where there is sadness, the melancholy just stares back into the face. Where there is anger, the images give you goosebumps. Not many joyous sketches are there, but again, it is the truth. The story would lose all its essence without the wonderful visualisation.”Arnav Gupta, The BookWorm at Book and Brook
