Vegan Comic: The English Family Anderson #2: Unfinished Business

vegan children's comic

If you read the first English Family Anderson comic you could be forgiven for thinking that they lived happily ever after in their old red bus. But you’d be mistaken. The second book in this vegan comic series brings them all kinds of drama. It’s been a year since the vegan family helped the ghost of Caitriona Allaway, who had been murdered in the 1800s by the evil Viscount Faulkner, and they hadn’t seen her since. Assuming she had found peace and crossed over to the other side, the Andersons enjoyed their self-sufficient life in the Scottish Highlands, but they soon discover that Caitriona is still in the realm of the living and she needs their help again.

Megan & Flos #6: Corruption

vegan children's book

This colourful vegan children’s book, or rather, vegan comicbook, continues the stories of Megan, an ordinary vegan girl, and Flos, her devoted alien friend.

As soon as Megan returns home from her adventures in space in episode 5, she receives a plea for help from her friend, Frances, who is a volunteer at the local animal sanctuary. Something strange and sinister is happening there and she wants Megan’s help to investigate.

What their investigation reveals is highly unexpected. Something dodgy is going on and, if Megan and friends don’t put a stop to it, the consequences will be dire.

Megan & Flos is an old-fashioned vegan adventure comic for kids. We recommend it for children aged 8 and up, but have been reliably informed that people as old as 50 are enjoying it!!! There’s also a wordsearch puzzle at the end.

Format: Paperback 33 pages, colour interior, dimensions: 8.5 x 11 in / 216 x 279 mm, vegan children’s book suitable for ages 8 and up.

Megan & Flos: Beginnings

Megan is a rather ordinary vegan girl who, purely by chance, meets Flos, a rather ordinary Summum Esse [that is, is someone from the planet Summum]. Being a telepath, Flos knows right away that she can trust Megan and they very soon become devoted friends who will do anything for each other, and the planet. They are very clever; they are very determined; they are very compassionate. They are eco-warriors like no other. This is the first five episodes of their adventures together.

VEGAN COMICBOOK: Reflecto Girl #7: Incidental

Renée Gale is a vegan activist. And superhero. Sort of. When she was eleven years old her grandmother gave her the Dounto, a mystical mirror, (pronounced doon-toe). Its name comes from the rule that you should do unto others as you would have them do unto you. If the Dounto is held in front of someone who is doing something horrible to someone else, their misdeeds are reflected back. Whatever they are doing, happens to them.

With the Dounto, Renée is Reflecto Girl. In episode 7, on her way to reflect an unpleasant billionaire, Reflecto Girl accidentally reflects three other people on the same train. This exciting vegan comic, in the style of 1970s children’s comics, tells the very different stories of what happens to each of them.

Plus there’s a delicious vegan cake recipe at the end 😀

Format: Paperback 41 pages, colour interior, dimensions: 8.5 x 11 in / 216 x 279 mm, vegan children’s book suitable for ages 8 to 108.

£4.50 in UK. Prices may vary depending on where it’s printed.

In episode 5, Sidekick, a nice day out turns ugly when Reflecto Girl has to intervene in unpleasant goings on at a public formal garden.

In episode 6, Harsh But Fair, Reflecto Girl and her new sidekick go up against a government man who makes the mistake of underestimating her, with devastating consequences.

Daring, exciting, and a little bit supernatural, the Reflecto Girl stories are told in the style of 1970s children’s comics, complete with a puzzle at the end of each story.

Reflecto Girl: Beginnings

vegan superhero Reflecto Girl

Renee Gale was an ordinary girl when she inherited something from her grandma: an ancient Celtic mystical mirror – the Dounto (pronounced doon-toe). So if Renee holds it in front of someone, whatever they are doing or about to do to someone else will happen to them. With the Dounto Renee is Reflecto Girl, saving all sorts of animals from all sorts of dangers and teaching their would-be abusers a lesson they won’t forget.
