Reflecto Girl

Renee Gale was just an ordinary eleven year old vegan girl until she inherited the Dounto from her grandmother. The Dounto (pronounced doon-toe) is an ancient mystical mirror which, when held in front of someone doing something horrible to someone else, reflects their misdeeds back onto them. Whatever they are doing, or are about to do, to someone else, happens to them.

The Dounto has been passed down through the female line of Renee’s family since the ancient Celts. It is imbued with Celtic magics from the Earth’s most powerful elements – earth, water, fire and air. With it (and her homemade costume), Renee is Reflecto Girl: vegan justice enforcer. Avenger and defender of the animals.

Though she possesses no supernatural powers, the Dounto makes Reflecto Girl a superhero, and every good superhero needs a sidekick. Vegan superheroes are no different. Renee’s sidekick is George, a playful classmate whose skills of distraction make him an invaluable ally. He calls himself Distracto Boy.
